Angie and HAPPY MEOWS are not your average pet sitters. Angie is truly extraordinary! We have used other pet sitters in the past and always wondered if they were actually showing up and providing anything beyond very basic services (clean litter box, water, food). With Angie, we have NEVER had to worry about her professionalism or dedication to her clients, the cats and their people. She is truly an amazing person who loves what she does. This is obvious the first time you meet her and the very first time you see her with your pets. We absolutely hate leaving our three babies behind when we go away. Now we don't have to worry about how they are doing because we know Angie is not only taking good care of them, but also giving them the love that they need on a very individualized basis. Our oldest cat is very shy with strangers, especially when we are not there. Angie took the time and the effort to work on their relationship so that she now comes out to purr and be petted when Angie is at our home. Our second cat loves to follow Angie into the kitchen and make sure that she's doing the feedings the right way! She is checking to make sure her sisters don't get too much food. Our youngest begs Angie to play by crawling into her bag of toys. She'll never admit to Angie that she is tired of playing. She always wants more! We are so thankful to have found Angie and so honored to have her in our home sharing part of our kitties' lives!

As for the cats, when we come home they seem to say "What did you do with the nice lady that plays with us ALL the time? We want her to visit again!"

Angie is a fantastic cat sitter! We could actually enjoy our vacation knowing that she is caring for our cats, and they get a vacation too! Angie sits on the floor and reads children's books to them and brings different toys to play with them! She enjoys caring for cats and making a lot of new furry friends and she was a great friend to me as well. I was sad that we had to move since my husband is in the Army. She took time to talk with me on different ocassions to cheer me up and offered great advice for traveling on our 24-hour car trip with the cats. I have had lots of pet sitters since we have moved a lot and none of the other pet sitters were anywhere as wonderful as Angie is. Most of them did not seem to be very familiar with cats nor did they seem too happy caring for cats. But Angie has seven indoor cats so she knows that cats like attention and plenty of play time. She really looked forward to caring for my cats and she went above and beyond what the other pet sitters did.

Angie also enjoys sharing her knowlegde of cats based on her personal experiences, clasroom training and volunteering at animal shelters. She is also happy knowing that she can help pet parents enjoy their vacations since they know their cats are in the care of such a truly wonderful, caring pet sitter. She even e-malied us pictures of our cats so we could see them playing while we were searching for a new house. I'm so grateful that we found Angie at such a stressful times in our lives and I will miss having the peace of having her there to care for our furry babies. Also, if there was an emergency where our cats needed long term care, they could have stayed in her home on one of the secure rooms that have cat posts, water fountains and small beds for their comfort! You and your cats will be very lucky to have her in your lives!

 Whenever I have gone away, I have always worried about leaving the cats at home. I have a crippled kitty that I particularly worry about. Well, thank goodness I found Angie and HAPPY MEOWS!! One day I was telling Angie that I would love to away for more than two weeks (that was the longest I had left them before) and not worry about the cats at all! I decided to check out Angie's cat care at her home. She had me come by and she showed how she had created an environment that I have come to call "Kitty Camp". Each room has a different theme and I could see IMMEDIATELY that this is the place I wanted to bring my cats next time I went away.

Well, it happened. I decided to go away for THREE weeks. I packed the kids up, packed all their toys and blankets and brought them to HAPPY MEOWS Kitty Camp. It was their first time away, but I felt I could totally trust that the cats would get the love and care from Angie that I have been looking forever!

Now, I can't say I wasn't nervous. How would they really do? Wouldn't they be stressed out? Well just after two days, Angie sent pictures of the two of them totally zoned out, looking peaceful and laying on their familiar comforters and the chair! That did it! I was so relieved! For the first time, I didn't worry about them at all and it was the most relaxing vacation ever!

We feel so blessed to have found Angie to care for our two spoiled babies when we are away. She is concerned about their welfare, health and nutritional needs, and has spent time bonding with them in very creative ways, including reading children's books to them. She has said they gather around her for this event, even our Sophie who is known to be skittish, but has learned to know and trust her. We are particularly happy that Angie is trained in animal first aid. You can tell she loves what she does and loves kitties. She has spent a great amount of time with us making sure she knows exactly what is required with our girls while we are away and letting them get to know her. We can't imagine calling anyone else when planning a trip. This is clearly not just an occupation for Angie but a calling.

Angelica not only saved my cats but she also gave them a place to live that was equal to them being in my own care. I was between a rock and a hard place. I was in the process of moving accross the country when my reliable ride decided to back out, which left me with no other option than to take my own unreliable vehicle. I could not imagine driving all that distance and then, possibly breaking down on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere with my 3 babies stuck in the car. I called Angelica and she invited me over to her house to see how they would be cared for if they stayed with her, until I could find a way to bring them to me. Her house is set up in every room to accomodate her own pets and the rooms she has for her feline guests are just as fine... lots of towers to climb and perch upon, toys galore, drinking fountains with circulating water (which my cats had never seen before but now seem to prefer), and many places for them to sit and cuddle and lounge.

Since they have been with her, everyday they get special quality time to interact wit her. That is something you cannot find at a regular cattery/boarding situation, and for me it made the difference. She also keeps close watch upon their health and their eating habits. For anyone else that has a cat, you must understand how precarious their health can be and how quickly something that goes unchecked or unnoticed can get out of hand. 2 out of my 3 cats have special needs with regards to diet and medications. You can bet your bottom dollar that a regular cattery would charge even more to simply administer a pill or a feeding schedule. Angelica makes it her personal interest to watch over my pets as though they were her own. I'm finally getting settled here in my new location but it has taken quite a while. In the meantime, she has worked with me on cost, as well as assisted me in finding options for having them sent to me. There have been nights when I would cry myself to sleep because I missed them so badly, wondered if I'd ever see them again and worried that they'd overstayed their welcome. She took pictures of them and sent them to me so I could feel better. And in a few more weeks, when the time comes to have them checked at the vet and taken to the airport to have them sent to me, guess who's volunteered to do all the chauffering? You cannot believe how generous she has been. Angelica loves animals and people alike. I could not have asked for a better caretaker for them (or myself).

Finding Angelica was a wonderful thing for my cats! For the first time ever my very thickly furred gray cat was able to be groomed without sedation. Other groomers wouldn't touch her because her fur is so difficult to groom and vets would only handle her under sedation. Well, after making some noise and complaining about the whole thing she was a much happier cat and didn't have to endure to the after effects of sedation. I was a happier owner too!

In December 2009 we went out of state to visit our families for Christmas. Beforehand, Angelica had us tour her home so we could see what room our 3 cats would be kept in. It was kitty heaven! Lots of toys, a bubbling water fountain, music, soft cushions and bedding and kitty condos for climbing. Premium foods were available for them to feast on. Everything a cat would want or need! Angelica also showed us another room tha had a trio of cats that she was taking care of. They were very happy to see her and the room was immaculate. We left confident that our cats would be well cared for. Since two of our cats are elderly (one needing daily injections for diabetes), it was important we find someone who would be able to handle any medical issues that came up.

When we got back from out trip, our cats positively sulked afterward. They were having such a wonderful time at HAPPY MEOWS that they didn't want to leave! Next time we go out of town I will be calling HAPPY MEOWS to book a room in her kitty spa!
